Farmer’s Markets

Outdoor Farmer’s Market

The Hunger Coalition has coordinated the Community Outdoor Farmers Market since 1991. We currently operate four outdoor markets. The market sites are set up once a week beginning in June through October. The Hunger Coalition works in collaboration with the WIC (Women, Infant, Children) program. WIC issues $30 worth of fruit and vegetable coupons to eligible women and children, to be redeemed at our Outdoor Markets. Our outdoor farmers markets allows us to reach low-income families by taking produce into the communities. The markets are set up to provide affordable fresh fruits and vegetables to other low-income consumers as well. More than 2,500 families benefit from these Markets. This market is open to all families to participate no matter what your income may be.
